Welcome to the 30th Annual Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival

Each year showcases visual and performing arts and celebrates the ethnic groups who blend to create the heart of our city. Over 35 countries lend their ethnic flair and talents to the Festival. Arts in the Heart presents performances by local, regional and national entertainers throughout the weekend! The Festival features four stages of non-stop entertainment with 95% of the performers from our local area. Our featured country for 2010 is Brazil.  Brazil has expanded their culinary display and will bring the Brazilian Dance Group Capoeira Cordao de Ouro to the festival. Capoeira is a martial arts/dance form that originated from African slaves brought to Brazil during the Colonial period. Photographer D.K. Bhaskar will also discuss his book featuring photography from the Brazilian Amazon!
