A B Beverage Company
In the depths of the Depression, when the nation was emerging from Prohibition, a small company formed to distribute beer in South Carolina — Aiken Barnwell Beverage Company. Today, if you drink beer in Augusta, you’re an A.B. Beverage customer. We now have warehouses in Aiken and Evans and move four million cases a year. That’s 65 percent of the market. That’s more than eight cases for every man, woman and child in the metro area. Yet A.B. is still family-owned and still distributing Anheuser-Busch (another A-B, but no relation). Other beers we distribute are: Budweiser, Bud Light New Belgium Brewing Company and Fat Tire, Yuengling and Magic Hat. (information courtesy of Metro Spirit)
Since 1955, we’ve been proud to serve the world some of its favorite food. And along the way, we’ve managed not just to live history, but create it: from drive-thru restaurants to Chicken McNuggets to college credits from Hamburger U and much more. It’s been quite the journey, and we promise this is just the beginning-we’ve got our hearts set on making more history.
